Cricket & Spirituality

They have more in common than you think.

Cricket is a game where every single delivery has to be played with individual planning and practice. In so many ways, cricket is very close to spirituality.

His Divine Eminence Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi said, ‘In spirituality, only those are successful who never give up.’ In cricket, it is the same.

The game is on until the last delivery is bowled. Don’t ever think that you have given up too many wickets and now it is very easy for the other team to score and reach the total. Don’t give up and lose hope; this is not how you play cricket.

The match is decided on the final delivery, not before that. It changes suddenly. When it changes, then those who are really set on the crease keep stumbling; they do not succumb to falling wickets in quick succession.

You have to keep your morale high and you must be determined. You must be prepared not to give in anything.

The key point which you must remember in every game is that whenever you have aggression and anger, don’t shout, scream or quarrel.

Make sure that you don’t waste your aggression in any verbal or physical altercation. Let it remain inside you so you turn it into performance.
